Nikon D3x style with Landscaping

To night's post is all bout  the Nikon D3x when it come to mid day landscaping,first we need to in about
your location for today shoots these were shot at

Karekare

Karekare is one of Auckland's most spectacular beaches and wilderness areas.  Part of the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park, Karekare was made famous by the Oscar winning movie 'The Piano'.

When it comes to mid day sun i use SD 440 DV Sunshade 4x4

With TiFFen filters

Neutral Density Filters

These filters reduce the amount of light passing through the camera lens without changing the color of the scene.  They are especially useful in bright light conditions to help prevent overexposure.  Neutral Density filters also allow proper exposure at a wider lens opening for reduced depth-of-field to highlight a key subject by making the foreground and/or background out of focus.

• Eliminates overly bright, washed-out images
• Balances exposure
• Controls depth-of-field
• Allows slower shutter speeds to produce blurred motion effects

You can shoot great Black and Whites as well

High ISO in a Auckland City Pub.

I was out last weekend and i was using a Nikon D3s in a dark environment , so i pull out my
AFS 35 mm 1.4 f and started having fun with high ISO. This shot was across from where is was sittting.

So my take is that this lens is very sharp in the right focal range and it tells you straight away
when you get out of its range.

Portrait for kids

This was a family kids shoot at Cornwall park  all shoot were shoot under Pocket wizards to
get the best results.

In this shot the sun on my left hand side and my Tri pod was on the right hand side
with a  Garry Fong unit onto of the flash unit this work well and manages the depth of field very well.
